A story about when I met my wife, Marquita Jensen

Marquita Jensen and I first met on the internet, on Yahoo actually. She was 19 at the time, and I was 23. She e-mailed me and I eventually got back to her a few weeks later. I was looking for a Valentine’s day date, and I got it. We met in person on February 4th, mid morning. She was standing with her aunt (who is just a couple years older than her), being as I didn’t know which one I was going to go out with, I was wondering if she was the hot one or the cute one. …she was the hot one, although being female she would never believe me when I tell her she’s hot.

Marquita was a bit nervous when we first met. She had told me (seriously) she would bring pepper spray, or hair spray and a lighter as a make shift blow torch. Little did she know, she would be the future Mrs. Marquita Jensen, rather than Ms. Marquita Carodine. Unfortunately she forgot both, and we went to Olive Garden. …after we got there she finally started to talk to me. Then she warmed up and by the end of the date we had gone to about 6 different places and done as many things. Before the day was over we both decided that we wanted to see each other again that night. We were together at least once a day basically every day since.

That night Marquita and I spent the date at my house. We were on the couch, and had been cuddling and something magical happened. I have been sworn to secrecy about what it is as Marquita tells me that it’s quite embarrassing. But it still makes me smile and will for as far as I can predict. I will give you a hint though: it involved two sets of lips and two smiles.

One time Marquita and I went to the Olive Garden. …for some reason there didn’t seem to be anybody else in the same section of the restaurant as us. Just before the meal, the waiter came out with a serving tray and put it on the table. As soon as he did, she immediately grew a smile ear to ear and hid her head. I got off the chair and starting reading some poetry, for on the platter was a small velvet box with a ring on it. …when Marquita was able to speak she did eventually say yes. After the people in the restaurant realized she said yes, they all applauded. Eventually Marquita also took on the last name Jensen and had my two sons. I love her quite dearly.

–My Marquita Jensen, when you read this, give me another of what you gave me when you were on the couch on the second date. I don’t think there is much need to wait for me to read an e-mail on the internet though.
